My School is My Happy Place

The tip-tap of shoes, the sound of buses pulling in, the incessant chatter surrounding the big building, all create an aura of familiarity for a lot of us each morning. School is an integral part of any person’s life. I mean, it comprises of the majority of our childhood. So, it’s no surprise that a lot of us become accustomed to the place we spend a quarter of the day in for fourteen years straight.

The atmosphere of a school really is what decides whether its students are happy or not. The students, teachers as well as faculty come together to create a wonderful learning space where children and eventually young adults, learn to become world-class citizens.

Being surrounded by peers and friends provides a bubble of comfort and yet provides the competitive spark required to succeed, or some would say even survive, in today’s overly competitive world.

Lastly, the need to grow, the hunger for knowledge, and striving to continually improve and become the best version of ourselves pushes us to work harder and harder each day. This attitude motivates all those around us to perform as well.

In the end, a combination of all these small, but significant elements make school MY happy place.
