DPS Dubai - A Happy Place

School is definitely my happiest place. It is essential for every child to go to school as school teaches us lessons which cannot be acquired anywhere else. The experience is one of a kind and along with education, we learn many other things like socializing, extra-curricular activities and more. 

Education is an essential part of our lives. We are nothing without knowledge, and education is what makes us unique. School serves as the first learning place for most of the people. Similarly, it is the first spark in receiving an education. School is our second home where we spend most of our time. Above all, it gives us a platform to do better in life and also builds one's own personality. I feel blessed to study in one of the most prestigious and esteemed schools.

In contrast to other schools our school does not solely focus on academic performance. In other words, it emphasizes on the overall development of the students.

Along with academics, extra-curricular activities are also organized at our school. This is one of the main reasons why I love my school as it does not measure everyone on the same scale. Our teachers give time to each child to grow at their own pace which instills confidence in them.

Most importantly, my school taught me how to face failures and never give up on my ambitions, no matter what happens.

To sum it up, studying in DPS Dubai has helped me a lot personally. I will always be indebted to my school for shaping my personality and teaching me invaluable lessons. I aspire to carry on the values imbibed by my school to succeed in life, and make MY HAPPY PLACE proud of me.

As I come back to campus after being online for the past 1.5 years, I observed a lot of changes made around me.   Returning to my school after over a year and a half, I was filled with a flurry of mixed emotions; on one hand nervous about the adjustment and finding my way around again, on the other hand eager and relieved to go back to the sense of fun and normalcy, one thing we've all certainly missed. The novelty of the situation made me feel a certain sense of wonder and interest in all the little things I'd forgotten about being in school, the moments I'll look back on with nostalgia one day. For one thing, the constant sounds and activity- after so long spent sitting shut in a room with only a laptop, hearing the sudden cries of laughter and greetings in the corridors and the general clamour of a classroom were almost comforting in a way and being able to actually move around to different rooms between classes was a welcome break. Undoubtedly, school is a very happy place. Many of my best memories are associated with school. It is like our second home where we spend a considerable amount of time during the formative years of our life.   Some of the factors which contribute in making school a happy place are: 1. Positive environment  Among various parameters used for measuring the Happiness Index, psychological well- being of people is considered a prime factor.
